A new fee on rental cars at O’Hare International Airport would be imposed to pay for a consolidated rental-car center under an ordinance Mayor Richard Daley is unveiling at today’s City Council meeting. The new facility would replace separate buildings operated by about half a dozen rental-car agencies at O’Hare .

Wisconsin’s new state budget includes a provision that would allow the Southeast Regional Transit Authority to raise the car rental fee from the current $2 to $18, an increase of as much as 800 percent, according to the Milwaukee Wisconsin Journal Sentinel.
