‘Close Shave’ Forces Qantas to Ground A380 Fleet

Image by Getty Images via @daylife Australian airline Qantas has grounded its entire fleet of A380 airbuses, after an aircraft carrying over 400 people was forced to make an emergency landing when a section of one of its engines fell apart over Indonesia earlier this morning. The flight took off from London and was headed for Sydney.

WINDSOR LOCKS — It took 10 months, but this morning police said they finally caught up with a Hartford man who had rented a car in January from Hertz at Bradley International Airport and never returned it.

Bidding War Continues For Pros’ Favorite Rental Car Stock

Avis Budget Group hiked the cash portion of its Dollar Thrifty Automotive bid by 12% this morning, bringing the total offer to about $1.6 billion, or $53 per share, in an effort to edge out fellow-suitor Hertz Global Holdings.
