Shares of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group Inc. slipped in premarket trading Thursday after the rental car firm became the subject of a tug-of-war between its two larger rivals, but at a price lower than the stock has been trading lately.

CLINTON TWP. –Shanin Highsmith, 35, of Charlotte, N.C., was arrested on Thursday, Sept. 3, and charged with pirating recordings, a third degree offense, after the rental car he was driving was stopped on Interstate 78 for erratic driving, police said.
